An ICT Award 'Top 5' Finalist Mobile App
Rent A Bike was a start-up venture that I started along with my friends. Having lived in Pokhara, mountain biking was an adventure sport that I always felt was underappreciated.
The idea stemmed from a problem shared with us by a Mountain Bike Rental in Pokhara, the difficulty in navigating through mountain biking trails using a physical map. To solve this problem, we developed a vendor-aggregator app where people could book mountain bikes online and could navigate through some short-mountain bike trips using interactive mapping instead of hiring a full-time guide.
Our start-up idea was awarded as one of the Top 5 ideas in the ICT Award Nepal in the Rising Star Innovation category. Unfortunately, our start-up could not live through the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Tadha ko Tihar” AR Marketing Campaign

I helped create an AR marketing campaign at my former company, Esfera Brandings featuring Bhaitika-themed filters for Facebook and Instagram, allowing our audience to virtually celebrate Tihar. The campaign included a collage generator to deepen engagement, enabling siblings to share personalized festival memories. This innovative use of AR technology brought families closer, even from afar.
Note: Bhai Tika, the most cherished day of the Nepalese festival, Tihar, is celebrated on the premise of love, worship, beautiful hues, flowers, and delicacies prepared especially for one’s brother.

NFDN Sleuth and Accessibility for Inclusion

The NFDN Sleuth app was used by 15 volunteers with disabilities (mobility, vision) to collect wheelchair accessibility data from more than 1200 public places in Kathmandu valley. The public places included in the project were hospitals, banks, malls, educational institutions, etc. This data was added on OSM and wheelmap.org.
This data can, at present, be accessed by people with mobility impairments to look up the accessibility information on public places in their vicinity.
